Take care of your knife
All kind of knives should be used carefully and sharpened frequently.
A dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp one. When someone works with a dull knife uses extra pressure and do not let the knife do the work. As a result the knife can slip uncontrollably.
Cutting boards are essential in our kitchen. They should be soft to not damage the knife edge. Knives should be storage in a safe place, like magnetic bars or knife blocks.
