Takobiki knife is a long Japanese kitchen knife that has a square tip and it is used to cut specially octopus (Tako means octopus in Japanese). In Japan, Takobiki is also called Takohiki or Tako. It is a typical knife from Tokyo region.

- This Japanese traditional knife mus be sharpened using water whetstones and without the use of guide rails. Ceramic water sharpeners, ordinary sharpening steels ans electric sharpeners are not recommended.
- We recommend that you wash the Global knives by hand with dishwashing liquid and warm water, and then rinse and dry the knife with a towel immediately. It is very important not to use the dishwasher with the Global kitchen knives, in order to protect the edge and to avoid exposure to extreme heat and powerful detergents.
